B6304S head gasket: go or no go? S90-V90

Have you removed the head yet?

If so, examine the gasket to see how much it is squashed. Enough to overcome the dent?

Try to determine where, and why it failed

When the head gasket failed in our '95 854 parts of the head gasket had rotted away! Not to be found!

How much is a new gasket?

How fast can you obtain one? If the answer to this question is a very short period, I would pull the head and see what the old head gasket looks like.

Years ago, our old, high mileage, early 70s Chevy Suburban blew its head gasket, the head bolts were only finger tight - the head gasket looked great! Lesson learned - torque the heads on an old V-8!
