Hi Peter,

Yes, when you take an old rad apart, you quickly realize all that internet advice to use those nuts as a counter hold against loosening the tube nuts is given by those who haven't done so. Just snug them up when you have the tube nuts loose.

The cooler unit is made of very thin double-wall brass, so that it is efficient as a heat exchanger. The mounting fittings are a little stronger.
