89 240 Window issues 200 1989

SO, my window stopped working a while ago. Motor is dead I'm pretty sure. I have power windows and all the rest work. A brand new switch does nothing either.

I recently purchased a new window regulator with the arms and everything. Upon consulting the Bentley bible, I found that in order to replace the regulator, it calls for the window to be all the way down. I would surmise that this makes it much easier to get the regulator out and secure the window from falling. I could be wrong.

My problem is that the window is stuck in the up position. Can't get the regulator/motor to do anything.

If anyone has any experience with getting a power window down without power or what the options are here, (besides a new door haha), I'd be very grateful.

Keep on brickin!
