Incomplete Clutch Disengagement.. or something


Getting the transmission onto the engine was difficult


The trick here is to have the transmission on it's left side as you raise it into position and then move it forward.

When the input shaft mates with the splines in the clutch plate and there is maybe 1/2" clearance between the engine block and the bell housing, you then rotate the trans to where it is upright. This avoids interference between the trans tunnel and the starter cavity.

Then bring the transmission forward and fasten it in place.

It's not too strenuous with the M45 but with the added weight of the OD it takes a little more effort.

Obviously, you need to do this in reverse when removing the transmission.
