Steering rod replacement 444-544 1963

The tools you need:

Hammer
Pickle fork(steering/tie rod remover)
17 mm wrench/socket

You might need a large Channel Lock slip jaw pliers if the nut gets stuck on the threads and the tapered shaft is not firmly held in the arm.

I suggest taking a picture before you start so you can make sure you put it back together correctly.

Do make sure you locate the "L" or "R" stamped into the each steering rod and make sure the end stamped with the letter is attached to the Ackerman arm which is the arm attached to the spindle directly behind the road wheel.

FYI, I have the steering rods in stock.
