Plastic pad re-installation between rear wheel and bumper 200

On my 240 1982, about 15 years ago I covered corrosion between rear wheel and bumper using the plastic pads that are on 1986-1993. I used only the side pieces, not under the bumper rear contour.

At that time I used double sided glued white foam tape found at Walmart I think.

Since a couple years the tape started to give up and showed space between fender and plastic pad. I have removed the pad and is clean now.

Question: what is the best trim tape for this application ?

I saw some 3M red trim tape on the shelf but don't know how well it will adhere to this type of plastic which I suspect could be polypropylene.

Have a good day and thanks.
