Radiator size turbo vs GLE? 18 vs 24 inch widths? 700

Hi, folks.

I am getting ready to put my turbo engine (fresh from the machine shop) back together and into my 1989 GLE chassis.

I am trying to get things together before I start so I don't run into minor differences causing major roadblocks. Aside from things like needing to get a new power steering hose (passenger side pump vs driver's side), I am wondering about the radiator.

My 1990 740 turbo had the same size radiator as intercooler. The fan shroud fit well, and the mechanical fan was centered. Looking at the GLE/16V engine that I have yet to remove, the radiator appears much smaller than the turbo version.

Several places list the smaller radiator as fitting the 1989 model turbo cars, which seems unlikely to me. Is this the places selling them being wrong, or is it about the model year, or something else?

Cheers,
William
