Inner tie rod replacement - pipe wrench? 200

Getting ready to replace my tie rods with a kit from FCP. The new inner tie rods do not have the indents I expected to accommodate an inner tie rod tool. Rather, they are completely round. I've done a fair number of tie rod replacements, but this is the first on a 240 and this was unexpected.

What's the proper way to install the new inner tie rods?
