Correct Distributor Pickup for '85 245

This follows my post "No Spark, No Fuel Pressure 200 1985" where I came down to likely needing a new distributor pickup for an '85 245 w/ 2.3 N/A engine.

None of the pickups for that year show the distributor # I have in the car, and the pickups for 1985 (Chrysler Ignition w/ Bosch Dist) all look different than mine.

My installed distributor is Bosch 0237 506 001 that is not shown installed on ANY Volvo application list.

I took the installed pickup # Bosch 1230 500 221 and that # is ONLY shown for VW and Audi fitment, but the car ran before and it "looks" right mounting-wise.

They show a Wells part RB-119 that cross-references with the Bosch part # at $77 or a genuine Bosch for $100. They show the same applications vehicle-wise (neither for Volvo) so I guess the Wells is OK, though I never used their parts before.

I guess at some point someone swapped the RIGHT Bosch # 0 237 520 004 distributor for the VW/Audi Bosch # 0237 506 001 one? Obviously it WORKS in the Volvo so I should just go with it.

Odd that it shows my distributor # installed on 5 cyl Audi vehicles (some 4cyl too).

Anyone?

Bob
