I don't know. Less than ideal is impossible to translate to quantity. Here's what it looks like:





Edit: Although it is pulsed in time with ignition, the amplitude is also increased with load.

Fact is, you can't eliminate anything but the signal on the harness probing from the back of the ECU connector. If there's a connection issue, those measurements would need to be made from the ECU board itself. And, the chassis metal has no connection to circuitry inside the ECU. Grounding a meter there depends on the bracket and mounting to the car.

Did you hose down the terminals yet, or are you still bent on pinpointing the intermittent?
