16v 700

I have two 740’s one 1989 basket case with a 16v head in a box missing some parts abandoned in 07 but solid body. The head and the cams are there. The second (1990) was ran into a tree with ~80,000mi kind of dirty but looked like it was a maintained car. I originally picked up the wreck for the wheels for my 84 D24t. Would it be possible and worth it to rebuild that 16v head and put it on the 80,000mi motor? All the tin and pulleys are still there I think. The interior on the wreck is clean and I’ll switch that out, the basket case interior isn’t as nice the driver seat is coming apart. I would also like to replace the automatic transmission with a manual. I have a few 240 manuals but I’ll need to chase down the peddles. Were the 740 manuals a better trans? I think it could be a really nice car. I live in homer ak and finding parts might be a challenge. Of course, if anyone wanted to go fishing in my Volvo penta powered boat and bring some needed parts along. Thank for any advice
