Something to be said for RWD

Almost all fine cars are RWD.

Rolls, Ferrari, Mercedes, etc,

Most race cars are RWD, including Formula 1

Front wheel cars are popular because they have manufacturing advantages and offer form factors allowing a better use of space

Prime example - BMC Mini - an efficient box with a drivetrain attached to the front.

BTW - I had a 1961 morris 850 which was a hoot to drive.

Also an MG 1100 - a luxurious mini that looked great - do a search for MG 1100, then select images to see this great little car with hydrostatic suspension. This car was very compliant front to rear, but had almost no lean side to side.

I have never seen another one in this country!
