the old seat belt trick in my 92 245 which is always reliable when the other 2 tanks crap out

hi kit g , arty ben and other brutha sages here- think this pia/malady should be common in 29 year old 245s but dont think it has been reported or remedied in the forum. could be what we call in law practice- a case of the first impression. my left seat belt works but now always gradually retightens by itself while motoring on tobacco road. have to make numerous readjustments every 3 miles. fear will have to elude coppas trying to ticket me for inattention while readjusting. rememba heavy 245s with the 4cyl are not known for fast launches and high speed. figure the mechanism behind the plastic panel on the door pillar has lost its spring tension or its locking pawls have crapped. fear it may be a massively complicated computer controlled repair job. get a load of this - dealer wanted $550 to repair(caused me to suffer severe sticker shock in the ER) . would love to hear from any brutha who has done this job. bet arty and kit could do this with their eyes closed. thanks tons oldduke
