Fuel Injectors Not Working on My 1988 Volvo 240. Do I Need a New ECU? 200 1988

Dear Will, Phil and all my fellow Bricksters who contributed their time and knowledge to helping me save my beloved red Volvo,

I am so very happy to report that after almost TWO YEARS of troubling shooting my fuel injection problems, my car is fixed!

The final thing that did it? Well, after doing pretty much everything else suggested (and having someone clean up some solder joints on the ECU), the thing that sorted it once and for all was the very first thing Will suggested: The housing for the 25 amp fuel pump fuse was corroded.

I'd changed that fuse a lot, and everything seemed alright, until I bought another 244 for parts. When I lifted the hood, I noticed a really fancy-looking new housing for the fuel pump fuse. So my husband and his buddy got a soldering iron and replaced the whole unit -- and "Poof" the car started with a simple turn of the key and began purring like new.

Anyway, just thought everyone deserved an update.

Thanks again for all for the support!

Dawn
