940 engine vibrations shaking windows doors at idle and 2600-3200 rpm (1993)(185k) 900 1993

After you installed the new mounts, if you have a water pump mounted fan, it should be fairly well centered up and down within the fan shroud. But your 940 might have an electric fan???

You should be able to slide four fingers between the oil pan and the cross member.

One thing to try if you suspect a motor mount issue.... Place a floor jack under the oil pan. With a piece of wood between the jack and the oil pan to distribute the weight, raise the jack to the point that you've lifted the engine about 3/8"- 1/2". The idea is to take a large portion of weight off of the mounts without over-stretching the rubber. Set the parking brake firmly. Now start the engine and note the amount of vibration. You can even put it into drive/reverse if you hold the brake pedal down firmly.
