auto painting 700 1990

Paint shops can vary a bit. Many shops take pride in their work.

Go to the shop that you want to try and ask them to show you some of their work. Look for streaks, overspray etc. Ask how much a particular job cost and why.

See if you can find an unpainted car in similar condition as yours and see how they do the job.

See how busy they are - is it a body shop as well.

Prep work can add up. Can you remove the parts that you do not want painted, such as bumpers, trim and the like. A '90 740 dos not have much trim.

What shape is your current paint in?

Do you want door jambsand other interior parts painted as well?

Check for the prices of different paints and finishes as well.

You may need several visits to do your research.
