Windshield source for 91 240 sedan 200

For what its worth. My 1st job out of University was installing glass. On my 2 240's I replaced the W/S with the newer style - comes with rubber trim. Reason replaced was rust and leaks at pinch weld - so had body work done 1st.

Like the look of the newer ones - easy install - label says FUYAO.

Insisted on butyl and the shop used it. Previous ones had urethane and it is too hard for an old car. With temperature changes you can hear the creaking as it expands/contracts - of course in time it will leak.

Make sure they use shims at the base otherwise it will shift and so will the trim. Also from my own experience if shims not used the W/S will eventually rest on the metal and will crack when you hit a bump.

Hope this helps.
