Some 444/544 Questipons 444-544 1963

If you're trying to determine whether a 544/P210 started it's life as a 6v car with a B16 or as a 12v car with a B18, check the placement of the idler arm for the steering.

All B16 6v 544/P210 Volvos have the idler arm mounted on the engine/suspension crossmember, while all B18 12v 544/P210s have the idler arm on the right frame rail.

Although possible to modify, I've never seen or heard of anyone doing so.
