I used the old two piece discs without refurbishment since they were still acceptable thickness (about .5" as I recall). They came from either an 1800 or amazon....cant recall which. They mounted directly on the 544 axle stub. I have a 28 page slide deck on this that I had downloaded from the internet and it goes details process for separating the disk from the donor hubs and installing them on the hubs from the 544 drums. I am not sure why that was necessary since as I found out...the hubs appeared to be identical.

I used the three piston calipers and had to re-drill a few holes on the mounting plate.
