Hand Brake Cable 140-160 1972

The up to 1972 and earlier 140 Volvo parts manual lists three different parking brake cables. The parts number and the chassis number range for the 142 which each cable applies to are as follows

Part #
679472 Up to chassis 112399
683348 112400 - 178959
684586 178960 -

All three cables are available. Just enter Volvo xxxxxx (part number) in the Google search bar and you will find a bunch of vendors. Some of othe cables still appear to be listed by Volvo as OEM parts.

If you are going to own a vintage Volvo, get a copy of the parts manual. With Google and the correct part number it is the fastest way to find parts.
