reliable service life of relays? 900 1994

1994 940. I will be departing on a long trip and was wondering what the reliable service life of the various relays (radio suppression aka fuel injection relay, fuel pump relay, electric fan relay, over drive relay, etc.) Mine have been replaced maybe eight years ago, some with aftermarkets.)

If not Genuine Volvo, what aftermarket brands do you like or dislike? (I just put in a brand new KAE fuel injection relay and it was as dead as a post, brand new.)

I would prefer to replace them one by one at home, rather than by guesswork by the side of the road, hence my question. Thanks.
