Fuel line Flare Fitting size - Regina? 700 1990

1990 740GL Regina

Hey folks. I'm trying to "un-hose" this fuel system.

1990 740GL originally had a single in-tank pump. I removed the added-on Bosch pump last night and now it starts and then dies about 30 seconds later, even hotwiring the fuel pump. I have a dry fuel return line after the FPR, so I think that my late friend put a low-pressure pump in the car.

I could re-rig the jerry-rigged Bosch pump setup he had going, but it's got loose wires running under the car from the trunk and just looks bad. I'd like to have the fuel gauge working too, so I want to pull the sender out of the trunk.

The only real hangup is that the plumbing isn't quite right. There is a braided steel flex line going into the fuel filter that needs to connect to this flare fitting from the tank, but I have no idea what size the flare is.

Does anyone know what size the flare fitting is supposed to be? I have it sorta kinda connected right now, but it's still not really right.
