1992 Volvo 245 Transmission Overdrive Not Working, Wiring, Solenoid? THANKS!!! 200

Hello everyone,

My overdrive on the transmission isn't engaging. I've replaced the relay, and the new one just buzzes when switched, the light never really engages, just flashes and buzzes for a moment, and the overdrive doesn't work. The old relay didn't do anything, and no overdrive.

I'm wonder if the problem could be a frayed wire under the car?
The solenoid is bad?
Something else?

I have a clean connector to the relay and there's 12 vdc+ power on pin 87a, nothing to the other pins.

Thanks for any tips that may get my overdrive going.
