2 problems..where to buy pre-heat hose; engine runs rich and crappy 700

Hello everyone-it's been a while. My son has been driving my 92 740 for a while and now it's running rich,engine idles rough til it warms up,but sometimes he can't get it to start at all. We are putting a new fuel pump in Monday,because my Volvo Guy said that would likely help,but he hasn't been able to look at it yet. It does throw the 02 sensor code but I've been told that's not the problem,I should look upstream from that, but where? The other problem is that the pre-heat hose (dryer vent-ha!) has disintegrated and I cannot find a replacement.All the descriptions from the parts places say it's only 18" long and 2" in diameter and I know that can't be right. Any help so greatly appreciated!--- Tinkerbelle (Mary)
