Replaced my old speakers

I pulled the 4 speakers from a 740 if you need OEM ones. Likely the same, same deck , I'm in Vancouver and you may be far though. any wrecker should have them , If you can find a wrecker these days. Auto recycling seems to have fallen out of fashion despite the green movement. These cars had a good lifespan but now Automakers break the mold and throw it away frequently to prevent recycling from affecting new auto sales and that seemed to prevent the wreckers from doing what they do.

Im sure there are better ones but they seem to sound ok in my 740. Likely the front doors get slammed and that might damage cones over time. drilling out the rives isn't hard. adding some small tweeters with a crossover might give better highs and they never did have a real deep base, but not so bad for OEM car speakers.

i dont know the ohm rating but it might differ and should probably be 4 or 8 ohms. someone else should know. Id find that out and if you buy new ones take the ohms into account. speakers can be wired either way but its right to keep the wires in correct polarity so they move in unison. I find it hard to tell just by the sound, the difference, but there is two different sized spade connectors on them. you may find there is a standard where the negative wire has a stripe.. I remember it by thinking of the stripe on the wire as equal to a negative sign if I install or wire my own speakers.
