Intank fuel problem 900 1994

Have a 940 turbo wagon that's been sitting for two plus years it's not getting fuel up to the rail have all the hoses off the in tank fuel pump and it's not pumping any fuel out when I pulled the wire harness connector in the fender well and put a test light on the pink I get the light to light up but when I connected and put the probe in the connector I'm not showing any voltage where does the fuel pump get grounded.... What actually grounds the fuel pump that's in the tank to make it work is it a relay is it the crank positioning sensor, and is there any place to get a wiring diagram
