Oil pump drive question

When Volvo changed to the OHC redblocks, they made it with 2 drives, 1 for the distributor and 1 for the oil pump so they are 2 separate shafts driven by the intermediate shaft.

Early B21's got a metal plate to hold the oil pump drive gear down.

When Volvo added a breather box to the OHC engines, it holds the oil pump drive gear down.
