Refinishing Draco Wheels 700

Thanks for your reply. I'm quite familiar with the paint code 130 colour - both my '77 264 GL & '86 240 GL were finished in that colour. All of my center caps are quite new - purchased in the last 5 years. So, I don't foresee any colour matching issues. In the past I have had decals made up to refinish the old caps but have found it much better all-around to spend the $15 per cap for new ones straight from Volvo.

There's a fellow on YT - 'Simpson's Classics' - who refinished his 5 Hydra wheels in 2021. He purchased new genuine Volvo center caps (1343663) and prior to painting the wheels took one of the new caps to the paint shop where he was having the paint mixed to have it scanned for a possible paint code. It scanned as Volvo paint code 426 - Mystic Silver Metallic. This is the colour that he used on his Hydras - a base coat of 426 followed by a gloss finish clear coat. The result was an as OE appearance as you could hope for. If you go to his channel you can view the 20 minute video.

Did you clear coat your wheels? And if so, what sort of finish did you go with? Thanks.
