Looking to Buy: SU HIF6 individual heat shields 140-160

BUILD THEM. You want a short one that covers the exhaust, & a long one that covers the entire distance forwards of the radiator to nearly rubbing the firewall(and bonnet)

Stainless would be best covering the exhaust, Aluminium best from Radiator to Firewall. Good Plastic or Phenolic spacers sandwich in between, A nice big radius where the balance tube meets the number 2+3 runners inside the intake & that part is good to go. I recommend BBB needles for HIF6 SU's on economy/mild motors & a K cam or similar 4° ADVANCED. The engine pipe should be set to a 3:4 ratio & a quality 2.125" or 2.25" exhaust. (B20E 130BHP SAE equipped cars had HIGH QUALITY 2.125" Exhaust systems)

Cheers,
B20Paul.
