Motor mount R&R procedure 200

Could be silly, but over the course of 25 years I've read opinions against lifting the motor by its oil pan and taken them as techniques to avoid if possible. I know we're talking about old oil pans and old gaskets.

My alternatives were to lift the motor from above using the lifting eye brackets:

And 20 years ago with this high mileage rescue after making things convenient by removing the exhaust system, from below at the downpipe support bracket.








Like I say, probably silly. Do us a favor and let us know well into the future how yours turned out.
