Engine removal, replacement 1800

I've pulled both the engine and tranny (still connected) a couple of times. I'm retired so no biggie it's my way killing some time. This time I was wondering if just pulling the engine might be a better idea. The hood has already been removed and everything disconnected or removed from the engine. I have access to a spline so recoupling the engine and tranny shouldn't be a big deal (I hope). I think that I'll give it a try (just pulling the engine, no tranny). If need be I can always remove the tranny later with the help of a transmission jack.
