Fuel pump 1800 1971

No pressure at the rail. Pump is working when I removed it and hard wired it to the battery, connected to a hose /can of fuel for supply and return.
Relay clicks, can be heard and felt.
12 v. at the pump electric connector. All lines blown clean with air compressor.
Pump is an after market part which has two ports, an inlet (from tank) and outlet (to fuel rail).
I plumbed it per the directions when it was installed years ago and it has worked perfectly.
Fuel from pressure reg. returns directly into fuel tank.
Fuel flows freely from tank through filter (gravity) into pump at suction side but nothing comes out of output side, until it’s removed and set up as I described before.
