Wiring for head light relays. 700 1992

Here's the FAQ feature article on upgrading the headlight wiring using relays to mimize voltage drop:

That article recommends 12 gauge. That's what I would recommend, although 14 gauge would probably work fine with negligible additional voltage loss over such a short distance. You really only need that for the load circuit from the battery through the relay, so could use 14 gauge for the other wiring from the dash if you wanted.
