How Can I Lock My Drivers Door Without The Key? 900 1994

I've done this with both my 940s, also my 740, and posted about this before here way back when, like over 20 years ago. I'm forgetting the details, so maybe Google might help you find this. With any luck it's still in the brickboard archives.

There's basically a tab on the end of the lock mechanism that you need to bend out to prevent the door locks from tripping when you close them with the button down.

I figured this out on my own by removing the door panel and examining the mechanism closely as I turned the cog as if closing the door, so I'm sure you can, too.

The downside of course is if you lock your keys in the car then you're screwed. I've done that a couple of times over the years, but the convenience of being able to push the button and shut the door as you walk away is worth it, as in all the previous cars I've ever known in my life.

If I find my notes on this, I'll post back, but I think you're pretty much on your own here
