hiding a spare key in an older Volvo 900 1994

A quick hack is to leave an extra key in the trunk!

WHAT!

If your trunk is like a 740 (which I think it is) and you have a metal key.

At each bottom side of your trunk floor there are rubber drains. put an extra key in a baggie and attach it at one of the drains with a small piece of electrical tape.

Then practice - remove the rubber plug from the bottom and reach a finger in and pull the plastic bag and key out. Make adjustments as necessary.

We live in Massachusetts and my daughter was working for Ducks Unlimited in Edmonton Albrta and had to access her spare key 30 miles from her housing. I never asked her how she got caught without her key!
