Getting rid of that Old Car Smell

A musty odor could be, "evaporator stink," from the AC. But it is treatable. There are several YouTube videos on the matter and they all involve spraying various aerosol anti-bacterial products like Lysol or even some made especially for this purpose into the fresh air intake on the outside of the car with the AC on.

But what I have found to work is to drop the under dash fabric, if in place, then run the AC with the recirculate button on and spray a couple of quick bursts of Ozium, which apparently you already have, under the dash on each side of the center console. Of course you'll want to exit the car quickly because it's not good to breath that stuff right out of the can. If that doesn't work you could try a stronger product.

My method only works, though, if the flap that controls the air source still works. When they fail, as they often do, it's fresh air only. But you can still spray the aerosol from the outside.
