AC options on a 92 240 900

Put this in 240 but figured some other red-blockers might see it here. Thanks

I'm looking at a 92 240. Without seeing the car yet I am concerned mainly about the AC. What are the chances the system is working and what are my options if not. I've Know about the conversion kit and wondering if anyone has experience. Any idea of the cost for the work assuming all the existing parts are working properly?

This is not something I would attempt but am considering as the seller of the 92 says the car is in great shape.
