91 240 running rough

91 240 has been on and off for several years running rough at idle and over fueling. OBD1 typically says “running too rich or too lean at cruise or idle”. Wow. How helpful. I finally got a code about injectors after cleaning the MAF, changing the fuel psi regulator (even thought the original wasn’t leaking), verified to O2 sensor was good. Bought the injectors from FCP Euro and installed by trusted tech who collects old Bricks Car ran well. Test drove and it seemed OK. Then it wouldn’t start. Changed crank pickup sensor. No change. Fuel pump didn’t sound like it was running so tested separately and it ran. Changed the relay. Nothing. Figured ECU issue so ran a jumper for pin. It starts and runs OK cold, but once it warms up, it’s back to rough and over fueling.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I’m wondering if the new injectors might have zapped the ECU. Tech is looking for a test one with another tech to test ECU. Really maddening that is no better after trying so many steps.
Thanks,
Morf
