Early 240's will not have the half moon. You have never stated the year of your car. It would help to know this. I'm thinking you will find the half moon on '83 and newer models.

I am curious to know what market your car was made for. You mention buying mounts from Skandix which, I believe, is a German vendor. You also mention the carburettor in an earlier post which definitely rules out U.S. cars. Are you in Europe? Canada? Somewhere else?

Just wondering.

I was also going to mention that oil will degrade the rubber in the mount or so I have been told on this site. This is more of a concern on the right side of the engine. Just be careful at oil/filter change time.

The standard mount should be fine if it is genuine Volvo OE. Mounts from MTC are to be avoided at all costs.
