Re: 240DL Driver's Seat 200 1983

Hello,

Yesterday I picked up my faithful '83 242 DL (347,000 km.)from a custom automotive upholstry shop in Toronto. The cost to rebuild and reupholster the driver seat, including welding the frame and installing high density foam in the seat and back; plus reupholstering the passenger and back seats, totalled $530.00 Canadian (about $350.U.S.).

The new upholstery is almost indentical to the original and she looks great.

The IPD do-it-yourself seatcovers alone for the front and back cost $386.00 U.S.

Some jobs are worth hiring a pro.
