I didn't think the 7 series had a Temperature compensating board, but only the 2 series (somewhere on the back side of the gauge cluster). If there truly is a Temperature compensating board on the 7 series, please advice to it's location. I know there is a voltage regulator on the 7 series that if it fails gives some funny readings, but the voltage regulator would not cause the symptoms my car has, and would affect both the temp and the gas gauge to peg in either direction (either empty or full), right? Please, correct me if I'm wrong about any of the above.
