amm interchangeability? ALL

i have a 1983 245 with the metal amm. Since it's last number is 002 is that a 002 amm? Can it be interchanged with the plastic ones that look identical as used on the 700's? In particular I have my eye on a 007 amm in the wreckers on a 700 right know.
