Question about best value vs performance for tires 200 1983

I would like to pick anybody's brain on what is the best performance tire for the money for a 1983 242Turbo 15 inch OEM 5 spoke rims. There is not a lot of rain in Southern California so wet road performance is not high on the list. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR RESPONSE AND YOUR TIME. I hope you have a great week.
