So do I.

New bushings, Bilstiens, IPD 25/25 sways, full braces, and some decent tires you will have a car that might outhandle a C70. Lowering it would put it over the top, but that modification reduces the winter beater status somewhat.

The handling has something to do with the RWD and the near perfect weight distribution, but what the hell to I know, FWD is superior in the snow. NOT! A 240 with snow tires is an absolute tank. Personally I find FWD cars very scary once they begin to slide.

Despite my avid support of the RWD Volvos, I would take your C70 in a heartbeat. VERY NICE car.
