Hi folks,
About 30 minutes ago I went shopping at a local supermarket. When finished shopping I unlocked (electric) my doors with my key, put my groceries away and sat down to start my car and leave. On the first try the motor gave a false start and immediately died. The second turn of the key started the engine for a nanosecond and then it died. The third time around all was dead, no dash lights, no radio, no tinkle bell, no starter... nothing. A security guard helped me push my car to a safe parking spot and as soon as we got to it the tinkle bell caught my attention (it suddenly woke up) and all was back to normal operating condition. The car started right up and I drove home. Upon arriving home I turned it off and started it several times without a problem. Can anyone advise me on where to begin looking to solve this mystery? Could it be the starter switch, or actual ignition mechanism I already checked all the fuses and the starter inhibitor switch but even if it was that the dash lights should have come on. The car has just turned 150,000 miles. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael M.
