ZF 22 & Oil Bleeder 900 1994

I just bought a used 12/1994 940 with a 81Kkm on it. The tranny is a ZF 22 and the engine a B230FB.

Q1. From the FAQ's, this particular tranny has its problems. Can someone please tell me what is the most common problem?

Q2. Is it normal during the initial acceleration, the gear knob move and there is a slight jerk? (The rest of the gear changes is very smooth!)

Q3. What is the function of the Oil Bleeder? (It seat directly under the intake manifold, make of black pastic)My mechanic told me that it need to be serviced after very 1 year as to maintain the engine optimum performance! Is this true? (There is no mention about it in Haynes Manual)

Q4. From the FAQ's, the tranny will be damaged if the engine is rev up while in P. Is this true? What about when it is in N, will it damage the tranny too? My volvo's mechanic say otherwise.

Any advise is truly appreciated.

HH
