Yet another question about FWD to RWD wheels... 700 91

I posted this in the aftermarket forum as well, but maybe someone else has some more info here...

I've got my hands on a set of those sweet 18" C70 Volvo/BBS wheels for my 780. Now, I've just gotta make 'em fit :) I tested one of the wheels on the rear, and there was mebbe 1/4" of clearance from the trailing arm, and about the same from where the bump stop hits up in the wheel well. Pretty tight, but if I put spacers on to correct the offset, then I may be out from underneath the fender lip so if the car is heavily loaded or bounces, it'll come down onto the rotating tire (I'd imagine that this is not good). Not to mention the fact that if I add more than about a 1/4" spacer (I need .7 inches, or 18mm, or thereabouts I think), then I'll need longer lug nut studs (anybody know where to get them, or even how to get the old ones out of the hubs?).

I haven't even tried out the front yet, but I'd imagine there will be some rubbing with the wheel turned to the full extreme one way or the other, and possibly some rubbing on the strut tower. Some firsthand experience here would be much appreciated... I've spent $829 on the rims, another $517 for two new tires, and $200 to get one of the rims repaired & refinished... I'm not gonna let almost $1550 go to waste here if I can help it!!!
