Re: Manual tranny oil 200 88

I followed Paul's advice, and put the Series 2000 in my '84 244 Turbo about two months ago.

It's been great. I've regularly seen temperatures of 102 and 25 degrees F since then, here in Colorado. I was cautious and skeptical at the start, but the OD seems to like it, shifting is smoother, and the car seems very content.

Now, my question is, how often to change this synthetic? 10K? 20K?

BTW, I put the regular Amsoil 10w20 in both my Volvo and my '98 Jeep Wrangler 4.0l. Immediately, the jeep ceased a low-rpm valve clatter that it had. It runs very well.

I just ordered six more quarts of the Series 2000 gear oil to convert the Jeep's transfer case, and diffs to synthetic, too.
