quest for the ultimate b-21/b-23 140-160 1980

This project will probably never get finished...

OK, I have a 2 door with the flat hood and the twin round headlamps. In my opinion it would be the best looking 240 series. My only goal now is building up the ultimate b-21 or b-23. I know I could put a v-8 in but it just would not be the same.

Is there any company that makes high performance engine parts for the b-21/b-23?I know that the original volvo components are pretty tough, but does anyone know for sure how much hp they can handle? I have heard up to 400, but it would be nice to know if anyone has actually tried.

TRS has a stroker kit with a machined b-23 block, but I think that he eventually wants to stop selling to the general public. That is, if he keeps making after all. I dont think I will be able to afford one in time.

Do any of the major well known companies make parts for the volvo?

Oh well, maybe I will put a hi-po 289 and the 4 speed toploader in....
