LH Fault Code 2-3-1 200 1989

I continually receive fault code 2-3-1 (compensating for lean or rich mixture at cruise)on my '89 244. The system diagnostics for the inputs and outputs as stated in Bentley are ok.The O2 sensor tests within specs. I've replaced any brittle or cracked vacuum tubing, and replaced the leaking intake manifold gasget, cleaned the TB, and can hear no leaks with the stethoscope (probe removed). Any ideas what else would be causing this?
